Body Found In Wissahickon Creek: Philadelphia Police

A man was found dead in the Wissahickon Creek in Philadelphia Tuesday morning, April 16, according to city police.

Authorities said the body was found near the 5000 block of Ridge Avenue around 7 a.m., across from the SEPTA loop. 

The remains were those of an unidentified man between 25 and 30, police said.

While the body "appears to have been in the water for a while," there was "no visible trauma," they added.
